Mills Kelly is the Associate Director of the Center for History and New Media (http://chnm.gmu.edu) and an Assistant Professor of History and Art History at George Mason University.
He is currently the Principal Investigator on a National Endowment for the Humanities—funded project titled Making the History of 1989: Sources and Narratives on the Fall of Communism (http://chnm.gmu.edu/1989/) and is the author of Without Remorse: Czech National Socialism in Late-Habsburg Austria as well as numerous articles on Czech and Habsburg history.
For the past ten years, Professor Kelly has been member of the Board of Directors of the Civic Education Project (http://www.civiceducationproject.org), an international educational NGO working to bring about democratic reform and the improvement of higher education in the countries of the former Soviet bloc. From 1998-2002 he was Chair of the Board.
